JULIET CARROLL is a Wisconsin-based ceramic artist who creates wearable pieces that bridge the gap between high fashion and sculpture. Her work includes aspects from medieval armor, like durability and dominance, while showcasing aspects from couture fashion, like eccentricity and beauty. Each piece contains hundreds of handmade beads that are pieced together as a “fabric” with her hands. Weight, gravity, and precise tailoring are all things to be considered when completing her pieces. Juliet finds designing fashion with clay to be an intense process that results in highly-crafted, one-of-a-kind wearable sculpture.
