Copper Afternoon
Drawn to nature, be it the sea that stemmed from childhood trips to the coast, or exploring rock formations out west, NICHOLAS KRIEFALL’S work conveys the relationship between us and the key elements of nature, and the delicate balance of how we coincide with each other. Using colors, shapes, and texture over multiple layers, he explores the comfort and animosity of a place revisited or newly imagined, continuously experimenting with visual depth as a map spills from mind to the canvas. His paintings have been exhibited by notable galleries in New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Fort Lauderdale, and St. Louis, where he currently resides.
