Ghost
JEFF RUFUS BYRD has worn weird outfits all over the globe. His work in performance and video has been exhibited in galleries, museums, and festivals in major cities across the US and fifteen other countries across four continents. Using costumes, masks, puppets, and other avatars, Byrd creates alternate identities to explore the performance of gender and power. His work has been reproduced in books published by Routledge Press, Rizzoli, and is in the collection of the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art in New York.
